This is my Panasonic FS A1 Turbo-R ST. This is the second to last MSX ever produced and it follows the latest standard for the MSX line (Panasonic was the only company to product Turbo-R machines). The ST has a new PCM sound chip, an additional CPU (the R800 wich is a 16-bit RISC processor) and 256Kb of RAM.
Not a lot of exclusive software was created for the Turbo-R but you can still find some interesting things out there (like the SymbOS). Of course, there is also all the already existing MSX software and the Turbo-R superior hardware usually runs these games in a faster/smoother fashion than older MSXs.
My Turbo-R ST came directly from Japan and I did pay top dollar for it (Turbo-R GTs are even more expensive). There is just not a lot of room for negociation when trying to buy these machines since the number produced was not very high and to find one in good conditions nowadays is not that easy. I am very happy though because I managed to get a model without major scratches or yellowing.
At the end of the day, this is one of those models that all MSX fans dream about and it is really worth it.
